Whenever I go somewhere to speak about my work on pornography, at least a few people ask me whether there really is any ‘good’ porn out there. Of course, this leads pretty quickly to a discussion of just what ‘good’ porn (or, at least, ‘better’) porn might be like. But often people are actually just wondering where they might find some decent porn.

This site is intended to provide one answer to that question.

Most of what I’ll be posting will be reviews, or maybe better commentaries, on some of the films I’m having my class watch this semester. I’ve got to re-watch them all along the way, so I thought I’d record some of my thoughts about the films here as I go. Perhaps this will turn out to be useful when I start writing my (hoped-for) book on pornography.

But then there’s also the question where to find this ‘better’ porn. As it happens, there are quite a few websites where one can find it. Some of these are independent sites that produce their own porn. Some are aggregator sites that collect porn from a number of producers, including in some cases their own. I’ve collected a list of these on this page, but I’m sure there’s a lot about which I don’t know. So if there are sites you think should be included, do let me know!
